CARIBBEAN FLYFISHING

Caribbean Fly Fishing was founded in the spring of 1999. They are located in the picturesque waters of the British Virgin Islands. Operating out of Nanny Cay Resort and Marina they offer some of the premier bonefish, tarpon and permit fishing in the world. Their location gives them quick access to the many flats, which surround Tortola, the biggest island in the BVI. The run to the flats is made in either "After You" a 28' Bertram or "Whistler" a 32' Maine lobster boat. Each boat can tow 2 custom built Bradley 18' flats boats. A captain and a professionally trained guide accompany every trip. The crew is made up of Ian Batchelor, who originally hails from England and Graham Shepherd from Calgary, Canada. Ian has been fly-fishing for over 25 years throughout the world and has been involved in boating or his entire life. Graham has been a professional fly-fishing guide for 13 years, spending his summers on the famous Bow River and winters in Florida. The two make up an exceptionally professional crew that ensures all guests have a fulfilling and rewarding fishing trip. The British Virgin Islands are considered to be the major destination for sailing enthusiasts. Caribbean Fly Fishing will rendezvous with your yacht throughout the many islands that inundate the BVI. For those who prefer to be land based, there are many resorts, hotels and villas which range from the budget minded to the 5 star all inclusive resorts. Caribbean Fly Fishing will be happy to make your accommodation arrangements. Unlike many fishing destinations throughout the world there is a constant population of bonefish, tarpon and permit in the British Virgin Islands. Rods : There is no fish migration!!! The fishing is consistently good year round. A constant food source, ample habitat and stable water temperatures ensures a healthy population of fish. The bonefish in the BVI run between 4 and 12 pounds with the average being 6 pounds. The Tarpon fishing in the BVI is probably the best in the world. Almost every bay in the BVI has tarpon. Most are in the 5 to 6 foot range and up to 150 pounds. With very little fishing pressure the chances of hooking up with a trophy tarpon are better than average. Caribbean Fly Fishing can offer you a trip of a lifetime. With healthy populations of bonefish, tarpon and permit. High quality equipment (Sage and Orvis) and a very professional crew. They can ensure a trip you will never forget. Please feel free to contact them at Mailing Address: Caribbean Fly Fishing, C/O Rush It Inc., P.M.B. 545, Main Office, P.O.
