Once again a cheap product from RED WOLF(ABU) both these reels have

Designed mainly for the freshwater angler in mind the Anglers Line Cutter may have limited use for the sea angler. I can't see it being effective in heavy kelp or rocky gullies when fishing from the shore but may well be useful for those anglers fishing from piers and jetties into heavier ground who wish to loose as little main line as possible when snagged. What it will not do is allow you to retrieve a fish if you become snagged in the same way a rotten bottom would do. The Line Cutters role is to travel down your line as far as possible and cut it above the snag. Obviously it would not travel past a hooked fish and therefore the cut would be made above or through the hook length as well as the main line.
Operation seems quite straightforward. The Line Cutter is snapped open, placed and closed around your line and allowed to travel down to the snag. Once there a sharp tug on the supplied non twist line should in theory be enough to cut the line with the built in blade. The Cutter comes with a clear instruction sheet explaining usage both with a pole and rod.
HOWEVER the instruction sheet fails miserably to explain the need to first attached the Cutter to the retrieve line and I can imagine a few Cutters being lost because of this ommission

These new jelly sand eels from Fishtek, are a complete surprise, they are well made, have an action in the water second to none,made from Jelly tex they are unbelievably stretchy but will not snap, I have only tried them in a tank, but the action is superb if the way they move is indicative of catching fish, then I am on a shed full, the price is very good too, 4 inch are £3.25 for 10 - 6 inch £3.50 for 10 - 8 inch £4 for 10. I shall give these eels a good workout next time I am out on the boat.

Once again these are produced by Fishtek. Having the classic Norwegian shape they have a superb action, they have a reflective finish they say is the most reflective ever put on to a pirk, the wire through the middle is top grade stainless, so it should last more than a couple of trips.
